spam call car crash

although they’re always spam calls, she will always answer an unknown number calling with a 612 area code. whenever a Minneapolis number calls she worries someone got hurt. it could be the sheriff calling.

her mom was hit by a drunk driver around 6 years ago, and she didn’t find out until the next day. lighting doesn’t strike twice, she reasons, and it’s not likely her mom would get into a second accident like that one. but to miss that call a second time - that’s not something she could live with.
