the online offline gift guide
this works for all genders, and for people of all ages (16+ hehe… actually... very cute and fun for a 16 year old just getting their license). Spring for vintage, of course.
the one I’m linking here is for a Milwaukee-based photographer (Chicago readers, it’s worth the drive), but see if you can find someone in your city offering something similar. support local artists :)
leg warmers: for people who need to fair cold weather and for dancers
generally, it’s hard to go wrong with well-made accessories someone might not think to get for themselves. every “gift ideas for guys” list online includes a belt and a wallet for this reason - although to me, those items are a bit impersonal unless you’re an SO.
this one is striking. fragrance kits are very fun and easy to personalize. do they like natural scents, are they girly, are they into high fashion? so many options. just pick one with good packaging. for other ideas, the Malin + Goetz one is more unisex and this one by Frederic Malle is very feminine.
Clinique black honey (looks good on everyone)
I just think they’re neat
their pre-packaged gifts are good for long distances. they’re classy imo, good for colleagues as well as people you know to be tea drinkers.
allure does my favorite box because they send nice, full-size items. they’re not paying me to say this. this is a gift I get myself at the start of the year for a month or so to restock up on skincare serums, hand lotions, and try a few new makeup things. this year it came with an Aesop moisturizer and a Charlotte tilbury lipliner. the first year I signed up, they gifted me a $70 revlon two-in-one brush hairdryer - for free.
