the etiquette around what to wear to a wedding seems somewhat set in stone. yet, when I was looking for recommendations for a dress to wear to my cousin’s wedding, I was floored by how many videos/ articles made some absolutely bizarre suggestions - INCLUDING WHITE DRESSES! WHICH IS UNHINGED MOTHER IN LAW BEHAVIOR!
fast fashion has made it somewhat difficult to find a unique, modest dress that works for weddings. seriously, there’s more to life than polyester-satin cowl necks.
I wanted to throw together some vintage finds just for funsies in case any of you have weddings/ other formal events coming up. this was my general criteria:
no white
nothing that would steal attention from the bride! and nothing that looks like a bridesmaid dress.
